Re: Missing Data

Thanks for answers.

I went into 'Corrections and clicked on 'No' which obviously put the transactions in numerical order after which I could find the transaction that I needed to amend.

To be honest, I've never noticed what order the transactions come up in. i.e. Transaction No., Date, Account ...

Missing Data

I've just posted Bank Payments for the month of July 2012 and misposted one item. When I go into corrections and search for the transaction number so that I can amend it, the screen comes up with 'INFORMATION COULD NOT BE FOUND'. All the July 2012 items that I posted show up as posted in the Bank ...

Restoring Data

I had a bit of a distaster last week when a virus completely fouled up my computer and wouldn't let me get into Sage; fortunately I had the data backed up on to a memory stick.

I run two companies accounts on Sage 50 Accounts 2009 and basically I had to re-load the program from scratch.

I then ...

New V.A.T. Application

What 'T' reference should I use for the new V.A.T. rate of 20% from 04/01/11? Should I amend the current T1 rate from 17.5% to 20% or should I start a new 'T' reference?

Year End Procedure

I've completed the company's accounts at 30th April and now want to close the year.

Can you please tell me the procedure for doing this. If I go to 'Tools', 'Period End', 'Year End', it tells me: 'The current program data is outside your financial year. If you continue it might cause discrepancies ...

Sage 50 Accounts 2009

I opened a new Bank Account from the Modules/Nominal Ledger option rather than through Modules/Bank.

How can I now get the new account to show up on the listing of bank accounts in Modules/Bank?

If I create a new Excel file and press 'Control S', the default comes up as 'Sage Line50'.

I did this and it is set up as D\Documents and Settings\Alan\My Documents\EXCEL.

I changed EXCEL to Excel and 'saved', and when I tried to 'save as' it was as I want it to be; defaulting to my Excel files.

However, if I then come out of Excel and then go back in, it goes back to defaulting to Sage ...

As it stands if I 'Save as' it automatically defaults to Sage Line 50. Before installing the program it used to go through 'My Documents' to 'Excel' where all my folders/files are listed.

Hope that makes sense?!?

Sage 50 Accounts & Excel

I've recently installed Sage 50 Accounts 2009 and for some reason it has affected Excel.

When I now 'Save as' in Excel it defaults to SageLine 50. How do I change this back so that it defaults directly to my Excel files?

It's not a big problem but I would like to change it back to the way it was ...

Thanks once again. The couple of companies that I work for decided to buy the new 2009 program and I've been entering the opening balances this afternoon. I did phone the Helpline with a query but was told that I'd have to hang on for 8 minutes and managed to sort it out myself.

Everything seems to ...
