compress data
Im using Sage 50 instant accounts v14....i am learning as i go along so needless to say i have alot of deleted items throughout the customer accounts and bank accounts... i have tried to compress my data to free up some space and also make it easier to see whats done but when i click compress data.. it immediatly comes up with "data compressed" however all my deleted items are still showing in red. is there any way of permanently deleting deleted items?

Hi
You can only remove the deleted items by doing a year end, (they are kept there for audit trail purposes)
You can hide deleted transactions.
Settings>Company Preferences>Parameters>Exclude Deleted Transactions
You could do a year end and then reset your financial year but that has some other implications (these might not be important to you if you are just starting out), however, my recommendation is to not be ashamed of the errors and leave them there.
