Expanding to 3 companies
Expanding to 3 companies
My employer purchased Sage 50 Accounts Professional 2008 and is now expanding. Although there will be 3 companies in all, 2 will share the same bank account and the other will have it's own bank account. Am I right in thinking that the only way to work this is to purchase a multicompany add on from Sage??

2 companies can not share a bank account in sage multi company or otherwise.
If you had a bank balance of £100 which company would that belong to?
You need to either treat it as 2 businesses in one company with one bank account and apportion costs between the two businesses
or
have separate bank accounts and separate copies of sage.
£237.50 for an additional company in sage so perhaps better to to do the former and run as 2 businesses in one company.
