I have Sage 50 accounts 2008 running on a Windows 2000 SP4 pc
Sage50 developed a problem & I had to do a repair which did not cure the fault
I uninstalled Sage50 using the installation cd, but when I try to reinstall it I get an installation error 1603.
The error shows as a data transfer error the only other info is
media name - data
error number - 1603
Read somewhere that this could be down to access rights?
Logged onto PC as local administrator,
After atempted instalation checked the data folders & SBD folders, access was denied.
Granted access to administrators & retried instalation which again failed, after checking folders again access was denied.
.net framework is installed & appears to be OK.
Any suggestions?
