How to correct sales receipt

Hi, I have recorded a bank bacs receipt to a nominal code, then a sales receipt for the same nominal code in payment of the invoice, and now it is showing the variance on the account to be that amount when in fact it should be 0. How do I correct this please? June

A BACS bank receipt and a sales (bank) receipt are BOTH money coming into the bank account. I do not see how you expect them to cancel each other.
For just about anything Sage :- Discount subscriptions, pay-as-you-go support, application integration, reports, layouts, linked excel spreadsheets, analysis or any other help making life with sage easier/less time consuming Contact me.
