I am currently attempting to close down my year end 31/3/07, and have run a trial balance via financials, all seems ok.
When I run either a "suppliers" or "customer" report at 31/3/07, the balances per these reports don't equal the trial balance. I have excluded future payments, but this still doesn't get me the right number.
I have been using Sage all year, and have all the current transactions included within Sage, and somehow I believe Sage may be picking up some future transactions.
The problem I have is trying to get a suite of reports that equal each other, and I don't know which is correct, either the trial balance (which I suspect is correct) or the detailed ledger reports.
Can you please help!

My trial balance doesn't equal my control account!

The main reason for the control accounts not matching is either, future dated transactions or "illegal" journals into the control accounts.
Look at aged creditor and debtors on screen and check the balance and the control acocunt match, the numbers are side by side so it is easy.
If they do it is a future dated transaction you need to find.
If the disagree then it is probably a journal check the control account there should be none.
