Exporting Basics To Excel

Post by doinktheclown » 28 Oct 2016, 10:05

Hi

I am looking to export a list of our cash sales to Excel on a weekly basis, as an easy way to reconcile it with what is in the till.

All I would need to be able to export is the list of our cash sale invoices, with the dates and totals. However, I am struggling to find a way of doing this, without exporting the whole invoice information such as the list of goods taken.

Is there any way of doing this? Or does anyone have a suggestion as to a better way of approaching this?

Thanks in advance.

I would do it in Excel, use ODBC to pull the last week of data out.

You would just need to enter the date and press go.

If you wanted me to do it for you it would be around £30+vat.

I ought to write a new guide on using ODBC, this is out of date, but probably enough for you to work it out.
