Post by james » 30 Apr 2015, 11:19

Hi,

We have installed the version 21.3.6.108 in our Terminal Server. While opening, we are getting a window showing Uploading Data - Processing please wait...

Even this window pops out after opening a company also.

Please help in this. Thanks

Log in as Manager
Go to the file menu and there is an option there to activate Sage Drive or to Manage Sage drive

Thanks for your reply

We have checked that and Sage Drive is not setup and yet we are still getting that same message appearing intermittently ?

Appreciate any thoughts on this please - Sage support don't seem to be able to help.

I guess that there is something up with the sage drive, perhaps it is partly setup.

I would clear the "cloud" side of things and "disconnect" on the PC side.

Check you have nothing setup under your sage id log in to the sage drive website and delete anything setup

The link to do this outside of sage is:
https://drive.sage.com/mc/signon

You could try "disconnecting" sagedrive

To do this you need to stop the Sage services
Delete some files from the program directory
Restart the Services

First find out the program directory form Sage Help>About
Typically it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\Accounts

Open up Services
You can go to Control Panel>System and Security>Administrative Tools>Services
or Administrative Tools>Services
It is a little different in every version of windows but this method works in every version press WindowsKey R to open the run box and enter services.msc and press OK (WindowsKey is the one with the flag on it normally between Crtl and Alt on the bottom row left of the keyboard)

Scroll down to the sage services highlight and stop each of them below

Sage 50 Accounts Control
Sage 50 Accounts Remote Application
Sage 50 Accounts Service

Now go to the Program directory and delete these files, (leave services open, you will need it again shortly)

Sg50Svc.sqlite3
Sg50Svc.sqlite3-Shm
Sg50Svc.sqlite3-wal

Go back to services and restart the services you stopped earlier.

Sage 50 Accounts Control
Sage 50 Accounts Remote Application
Sage 50 Accounts Service

Thanks for this

Assume that the removal of those files just has to be done on the server and not the client PC's as well, suppose it is possible that one of the clients could have unwittingly started to enable Sage Drive ?

I don't think a client can activate sage drive, however, if doing it on the server doesn't work, it would be worth checking on all PC's there could be a rogue workstation.
