how to display Product Code on Invoices Sage50 2015 v21

I am using Sage50 2015 v21. I cannot work out how to get the Product Code to be displayed on our invoices. When generating an invoice, we have a Product Code field with drop-down list facility to select the Code of the item being ordered, on selecting this the details / description of the item is displayed in the description field. When we come to print the invoice, the description and quantity remain visible but the Product Code is not displayed. Is this process to make the Product Code appear on the invoice an action of Add Data Field? If it is, I cannot understand the very limited information that Sage50 v21 gives to explain this process. Are there any clear step-by-step guides available to explain the process in v21 to a novice? Thanks.
