First post here so be kind please.

I run windows 8 and seems I unable to email payslips directly to employees. Is there a configuration issue between Windows 8 and Sage Payroll?

Any help would be great.

Oh - I'm not a technie so plain speak would be wonderful 8)

There are 2 ways to send stuff by email from sage either you use a MAPI compliant email program such as Outlook or you send directly using SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)

The default is to use Outlook via MAPI.

Do you have a compatible version of Outlook installed?

Have you configured Sage to use SMTP?

I have written a bit about setting up reports for email in Sage 50 here this may be enough for you to work things out.

I have the latest version of outlook installed.

I've tried configuring as per your walkthrough but it says my login details are incorrect when I try the test - I know they aren't

There are 2 types of outlook 64 bit and 32 bit.

If you go to a customer with an email address and click the button to the right of the email address does it open outlook?

Which method of configuring did you try MAPI or SMTP?
