Sage50 freezing/not responding intermittently ?

would be very grateful if anyone could help, shed any light,on what may be happening? We are running Sage 50 Prof 2009 (15.01.20.019) on Vista - one user/one company (data held on company server) and have been without any major running problems since first installed. recenltly i have been experiencing "not responding" on several occaisions sometimes when trying to save screens after data entry - this has caused data corruption and i have had to restore to a previous "clean" backup, and at other times when only exiting/entering a screen (no data entry, so no real problem). what happens(for example bank/customes receipts)is that when finished entering the data lines you go to press "save" this button then just "greys out" and you get the waiting cursor signal - nothing else. If you then enter the task manager it says that sage 50 program & the process you are in are both not responding. even after waiting for quite sometime it seems the only way to sort it is to force shut down, - run error check and if necessary restore back up. this has happened at least a dozen times in the last 4-5 weeks and is getting somewhat "tiresome" for want of a better word !
We have an it guy who has looked into my pc - cleaned up system files/HDD/improved the ram etc, as we thought it could be a hard ware problem but this has not done anything. For info we have just finished, but not yet shut down sage , our year end for Dec 2013. We also recently moved offices but i have been assured that the network & my pc are communicating just as before. any help would be very much appreciated (at least ideas) before i end up throwing it out of the office window.......
