M - Message Lines not showing on despatch notes

Hi

When we create an order we sometimes use the m (Message) and place note/comment under the order details.
This appears on the screen but not when you print out the despatch note

Any ideas?

Message lines do not print because they are not shipped, they have no stock allocated against them and the filter prevents this.
They also don't print if you have modified your layout and are referencing something in the stock module as M does not exist as a product code in the stock module, you can cure this by making the link to the stock module a "parent outer" join.

There are a couple of things you could do

1/ You could alter the layout to always print message lines. Not sure without looking to see what you would need to do.

2/ You could use the comment lines on the products instead of message lines

3/ Yuo could use the notes instead of the message lines.

The notes on the despatch dont print for some reason and using the comments lines in the products wouldn't work as for example

If we use a code for mesh panel and we are cutting a panel up into a few pieces instead of creating new product codes for each piece we would just put note on next line giving sizes of cut pieces out of that 1 panel
