Sage Payroll Nominal Link

I am trying to set up the nominal link on Sage 50 Payroll V19. I accidentally posted a 2012 nominal link (intended to post 2013). I therefore deleted it from Sage Accounts using a journal reversal. I have now attempted to click on the nominal link button on Sage Payroll, but it warns me ""There are incomplete postings for the period 05/08/2012. These must be processed first." When I ok this message it then says "All selected employees with a processing date of 05/08/2012 have been previously posted to your Accounts." When I ok this screen, it takes me back out of the nominal link and I can't get any further than this! Please help.

is there another pay period? weekly as well as monthly?

I don't think so, but I will double check that one.

So I went back in to look for another pay run, but couldn't find anything. I then changed the processing date to 05/08/12 and ran the nominal link. It worked, and allowed me to run it. I then changed the process date back to today and ran another nominal link and it told me "There are incomplete postings for the period 12/08/2012. These must be processed first". I pressed ok and it ran another nominal link for 12/08/12. But then when I go to run a nominal link again, it blocks me again. So, from what I can see I would have to change process date on a week by week basis and run a nominal link for each. Apart from this being rather long-winded, it is also going to cause lots of postings into previous periods that have been adjusted manually up until now. Any ideas??! Many thanks again in advance.

Hi, Did you ever solve your 'incomplete postings' problem, as I have the exact same problem, just with a different date???

I had this problem today and managed to find a solution.
I found that I had processed my the nominal link for my previous period (10/11/2013), but I had a filter excluding current year leavers. This meant that the 2 leavers I had during the period had not been processed as part of the nominal link. This was preventing me from processing the nominal link for the current period (10/12/2013).

To resolve this:-
At the top of the screen click Criteria, remove the tick from Current Year Leavers and click OK.
Process your nominal link and it will first process any left out leavers from the previous period (you may need to back date for this).
Once you have done that, process your nominal link again and it should cover everyone for the current period.
