Slow performance over a network - multiple tests carried out

Post by shabbaranks » 13 Mar 2012, 14:52

Hi All,

We tend to have some performance issues with Sage Accounts Line 50 - 2011. As I understand it Sage is renownend to run slow across a network, and there are possibly some changes to speed up the performance? Ive used a test benchmark product which gave the following results:

*** Sage Data Read Test Results ***
Header Transactions : Reading 5,889 Records

Benchmark Seconds per 1000 Records - Less than 1.3 seconds = Good, 1.3 seconds to 2 seconds = Accepable, More Than 2 Seconds = Poor
Your Rate Per 1000 Records : 2.375 Seconds -> Poor

I copied the ACCData folder to various location all producing the same results apart from when the folder is stored on the local PC. As you can appreciate this isnt ideal for a multi user environment so there must be a way to overcome this?

Thanks

I have no frame of reference for your test metrics of performance.

Is this a sudden change, if so what brought about the change.

What operating systems are involved.

What speed is the network running at.
