Entering negative numbers in budget nominal code

We are trying to enter this years budget but when we try to enter a sales discount as a negative value we dont appear to be able to do this --- any suggestions?

You can workaround this by using the popup calculator button, clear the contents, and enter the minus sign using the button on the calculator or keyboard then the number and hit enter. (0-number you want)

don't we just love Sage 50 sometimes!
