Sage 50 - Variable cost prices for custom products

Hi,

We sell custom branded products and therefore every order has a different cost price. We are upgrading to Sage 50 Professional at the moment and I want to deal with this better in Sage 50 than we do at the moment in the basic Sage Instant Accounts package.

At the moment we simply sell a product called 'Branded Order' which has a cost price of zero associated with it and change the selling price on every invoice. We then add a single supplier invoice for the cost of all of the branded goods at month end. This mean we can't do any order by order profit analysis and I'm sure we could approach this in a much better fashion.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As so often is the case, "It Depends"

What you could do is to have several items in the invoice.

You could put all the elements each with their own cost and sales prices to add up to the total price.
