I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
V21 isn't supported on Server 2003 either.
Win 7 has some really nasty performance issues with servers that run only SMB1 (pretty sure Server 2003 supports SMB1 only)
You can improve performance by disabling SMB2 on the win 7 machines

We recently installed BitDefender and found that the default policy caused this issue. After installing we found we could login to Sage but when editing a company record we got SBDesktop.exe has crashed error. Removed BitDefender and it worked with no issues.
Check your antivirus and configure accordingly.
