Sage 50 UK - 3 Decimal Places

We are prospective buyers of the Sage 50 Accounts (UK Edition) software and wanted to have some clarification on the product. The Sage 50 Accounts package will be utilized in our company in Oman. Oman has 3 decimal places in its currency.

We are integrating Sage 50 Accounts with another product used within the company and require specifically the Sage 50 Accounts package for the integration.

I have spoken to our local partners and Sage Middle East for clarification on if Sage 50 Accounts (UK Edition) can actually allow 3 decimals within the system. They have indicated that this is not possible.

On the other hand, I have also received confirmation from a Sage UK representative that this same edition does indeed allow upto 4 decimals.

From my understanding with my local partners, Sage 50 defaults at 2 decimal places. Some locations like Item Quantity and Item price can be adjusted to increase upto 4 decimals. Other than this it’s 2 decimals everywhere

I would like to know if it is possible to have 3 decimals (system-wide) while performing data entry, on-screen viewing and printing reports from within Sage 50 Accounts. If this is not possible, is it at least possible to have them in the data entry and print output screens for (invoices, purchase orders).

The currency is Omani Rials.

I don't see that as a supported currency.

I have checked the specification in the database and only 2 decimal places are supported.
