Post by Mariya.Ivanova » 07 Oct 2015, 10:39

Hi, my company just switch from Xero to Sage 50. I am not sure under which nominal code are going a receipts from Microsoft Azure and Microsoft. They are on a monthly basis. Here is Item description - Office 365 Midsize Business.

It depends...

Is this something that you use just for yourselves?

Is this something you are selling on to others?

Assuming you are using a normal sage nominal structure you need an account in the 77XX area (Equipment Hire and Rental) or 78xx Maintenance areas. Ass SaaS is a recent innovation, you may need to add a suitable nominal code, where management want it to appear in the accounts is the factor that will determine where you should put it, discuss it with them first.

When you create new accounts, try and space them out, you never know when you might need to insert something between 2 accounts only to find there is no space.

If ever you did run out of space, we offer a nominal re-coding service where we can change the number on nominal accounts.
