Motor Insurance Claim

We have a motor insurance claim for £3564.35 plus £712.87 VAT. We have to pay the Vat plus £100 policy excess, the Insurance Co pays the balance. How do I record and pay off these transactions so we can claim back the VAT? Thanks.

You need a VAT invoice to reclaim VAT.

If this a repair then you should have an invoice from the garage doing the repairs?
