When adding extra companies in the same group, which files are the basic setup files that should be copied between the companies? I don't want to copy any balances or data.
I want all companies to have the same general setup, chart of accounts, bank accounts, control accounts etc.
When I added company 2, Sage talked me through the exercise of copying certain files from the \company.000 directory to \company.001
Can you identify the correct files to copy?
I am running Sage Accounts Pro 2013 version 19.01.11.285
Any help appreciated.

Re: Multi company - copying common setup files
Well.... there are lots of ways to do this. Yuo can copy files, but it is open to being messed up.
The way I would suggest is to backup the current company
Create a new company and restore the backup into it.
Immediately change the name on it, you do not want to get confused as to which company you are working on.
Go to File>Maintenance>Rebuild tick what you want to keep/untick what you want to get rid of, run the process and you will be good to go.
If you have several to do, back this new one up, make a new company, restore the backup change the name and repeat as many times as you need.
