I have Sage 50 loaded on one laptop and am trying to save and send the files to another laptop to upload them. When I save the data file and try and upload it the new laptop requests the file in .csv or excel format. However the file is automatically saved in a different format.
How do I do this?
Many thanks,
Graham

Re: Transferring Records from one laptop to another
I suggest that you make a backup (.001 file) copy that to the laptop and then and then restore the backup form inside sage on the laptop.
This is the easiest way to achieve what you are trying to do.

Re: Transferring Records from one laptop to another
Thanks - I tried to import the file via File > import and it says I need to import in either .csv or Excel format. Is there a way to import the .001 file?

Re: Transferring Records from one laptop to another
I suggest you use a backup to transfer from one PC to another.
Import is not designed or suitable for that purpose.
Use the restore option on the file menu to restore the .001 file.
