activity graph

Post by PBS1 » 15 May 2015, 12:33

Hi All

We are looking to be able to see activity graphs for all componets on a BOM.
Currently they can be seen for any items we sell i.e. the 'complete' item but not for the components as they are not actually classed as being 'sold' individually.

We need to be able to see the trends for the packaging part of a BOM so we can forecast required quantities etc.

Is this possible or do we need to have an add on ? (any ideas which if this is the case?)

Thanks in anticpation.

Hi PBS1

The graphs, pretty as they may, be are really not a lot of help in determining requirements into the future even if they did show movements not just sales.

Have a look at the product movement in/out report, this tells you what you have had come go out over a period, this includes adjustments, manufacturing, damages, returns everything.

If you really want graphs you could do a report in excel that pulls the stock transactions from sage and builds a stock movement history which you could then graph, perhaps use a pivot chart to select the product to show/build the graph.

Thank you for your reply.

Graphs showing trends really does help with our forecasting. I understand they may not be for everyone but for us it works.

Is there no add on available for Sage that can do it for packaging (or other BOM parts) and not just the complete 'sales' item?
We are willing to purchase an add on as we have a fair few different types of [packaging that we would like to see this with.
