Email Invoices

Post by PaulG » 13 Feb 2014, 22:39

Hope you can help

I'm using an old version of Sage line 50 Accountant Plus 9.00.0023. I would like help to set up my Sage system to allow me to email my invoices. I've been printing and posting them for years, but feel I must move forward. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Paul

As long are you are also running it on an old operating system and have an old copy of outlook it should be possible.

You can follow my guide here for the general idea: How to set up email reports from Sage
obviously it is written for the current versions and some aspects are different, you don't have the option of SMTP for example.

However, you may want to consider upgrading as XP is about to loose support form Microsoft and you will eventually end up on Vista+ and things will get very difficult.

Upgrading is possible but it is not inexpensive, however, I can offer some discount on the Sage price.
You might also consider using Sage Instant accounts, this is relatively inexpensive and I can convert the data for you.
The other alternative is to hire someone such as myself to do it for you.
Give me a ring if you want to chat about any of these three options.

I don't think you are going to be able to do it.

Ok thanks.

What would be my cheapest option then. I am a sole trader producing around 30-40 invoices a month. It would just be more convenient to email invoices. I use Sage mainly for invoicing and statements and customer activity.

Many thanks

Instant doesn't have all the features of Sage 50, if you have anything you are not sure about or want to try it out give me a ring.

Because of the number of versions you are moving you can't just restore your old data intot he new version need to get your data converted. first, fortunately it is not an expensive job.

I always beat any price Sage offer for Software by at least 5% so £130 your price £123.50.

The data conversion based on it taking around 12-18 minutes, works out at £11.12 to £16.68 (Excluding VAT)
