Good morning.
We are putting all our stock onto sage with barcodes etc. Is it possible with a barcode scanner, when a customer comes in for us to scan the item and it will then create an invoice? or do we have to use a sage add on to do this!!!!
very confused!!!
many thanks
emma

Re: Barcodes on sage
It is not possible.
A bar code only identifies the item, it does not identify the customer or the quantity.
If you are prepared to enter the customer account code and the qty, the barcode scanner can be used with a "Keyboard wedge" top type the product code which is encoded in the barcode.
But really you need to buy an epos system to do retailing properly.
