Filemaker sage import

Post by Kaps » 14 Oct 2012, 13:23

I am trying to import data from Sageline50 v14 into Filemaker.

I am using a standard Filemaker ODBC import.

However what user name and password should I be using ? I keep getting told that I dont have the correct username /password.

I am trying to connect to the demonstration database in Sage50 v14. I have inadvertently put a password on this.

can anybody help ? thanks

regards

Kaps

The Username and password are the Sage Username and Sage Password for that user.

If you do not use a username to log in to Sage 50 then the username is MANAGER

Thanks.

I have realised that my problem is that both SAGE line 50 (v14) and Filemaker 12 are win 32 bit appliocations. However I am running a Win 7 machine with 64 bit app. There does not appear to be a 64 bit ODBC connection for SAGE Line 50. Am I correct ? Has anybody done this ?

I understand that all 64 bit drivers are located in c:\windows\syswow64\odbcad32.exe.

Curiously I can see SAGE line 50 v14 here (which I admit contradicts my earlier statement)- but not Filemaker. Any thoughts ? thanks

You might not be able to see the 32bit odbc admin to set up a dsn

try this at the command line to launch the 32bit ODBC admin

c:\windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe.
