Print sales activity from nominal ledger

Hi can anyone help?

I am trying to print off the sales activity list, I go to company - total sales, product sales nominal record 4000 for sales general this shows a balance of £73874.85 when I double click then click activity the whole of the month will not show it shows a balance of £7727.07, could this be because I have completed the month end and compressed my data, I really need access to this information is there any way of getting it to show again.

What shows in the Analyser and in the Activity History is determined by the "Ranges" that have been selected.

Completing a month and and compressing data would have no effect on the history, the only thing you can do to remove transactions form the audit trail is to clear the audit trail.

I suspect the balances are for different periods.

Hi I did clear the audit trial, we had bugs last year and invoices were losing data, we were told to regularly run month end compress the data and clear the audit trail, I wasn't aware it would hide most of my data, the balance is definitely for the one month, do you know a way of getting the information back or how to reverse the clearing of the audit trail.

If you have backups for each period or archives then you can provide a disjointed audit trail, but it is a mess.

If it had been only one period it might have been worth looking at reconstructing the data by adding backups together, but the cost of this is probably prohibitive.

I expect that you will either have to live with things all messed up, pay an accountant to redo all the work or redo everything yourself. Maybe glueing together data from several backups isn't so prohibitively expensive.

Hi we do take regular backups so I will load a backup onto my laptop and print it off from there, thanks for your help.

If you don't clear the audit trail until year end, things will be much easier moving forward.

Yes i definitely won't clear the audit trial until year end is fully complete, I wasn't sure what effect it had I do now though thanks for your help.

Hi all just to let you know I have found out a way of seeing the data I have cleared, go to modules, financials, reports then on the left hand side you can print a report of cleared audit trails.
