Quick Print (2012)

Post by Oonagh » 13 Jun 2012, 15:47

Hey,

Is it possible to set up quick print to print out two copies of an invoice?

I am currently clicking the quick print option twice, and was wondering if it's possible to print out two copies.

Thanks

Yes, that functionality exists for any report and or layout, not just quick print.

Sage "remembers" the printer settings for a layout or report. What you need to do is to print the layout to preview change the setup to do x copies, use a particular printer, do it in black and white rather than colour and so on and so forth. When you close the preview it asks you if you wantto save your changes, say yes and it will remember these settings and use them every time you use that layout.

There are some issues on some systems, if you use older version of Sage 50 with windows 7 / 64 bit systems and some printers. It is not common but backup reports and layouts before you start just in case. If you are unfortunate and have a printer that sage can not remember the settigns for, there is a workaround. Crete a duplicate copy of that printer and set the defaults to have number of pages to 2 black and white etc. give it a sensible name eg "XXX Printer 2 copies black and white" and then set up the report/layout to use that printer.

If you are in a network environment then all PC will try using the same named printer, so make sure the PC's are all set up with the same printers otherwise some PC will not be able to print to the specified printer
