cannot access backup because Sage transaction email is logge
cannot access backup because Sage transaction email is logge
I have a problem where you get the following message "you cannot access backup because Sage transaction email is logged in.....".. Nothing I do seems to get me out of this state, and I can't either restore, backup or run maintenance.
Does anyone have any answer to this? I am on 16.00.17.0154
Many thanks
Dave

locate your data set using these instructions
http://support.makingithappen.co.uk/gui ... d_data.htm
In the accdata folder delete the file queue.dta (or rename it if you are nervous)

You need to go to Help and then About
Click on the System Info tab
Click on Directories on the left hand side
then right click on data directories and open the folder
minimise this folder
shut Sage down
open the folder
press Q on your keyboard
delete the Queue file
shut down the folder.
re-open Sage and your problem should have gone.

Brilliant, this worked for me too...after spending hours trying to solve this!! Thank you so much!!

Transaction email problems: I accessed accdata file and renamed setup.dta (newsetup.dta) and now Sage won't open, wants me to set up a new company and, when I look back in the accounts folder, accdata is empty. I'm on the verge of panicking!

Re: cannot access backup because Sage transaction email is l
That is because you've renamed the wrong file - it is QUEUE.DTA that should be renamed, not SETUP.DTA. SETUP.DTA is probably the most important Sage file and, without it, Sage believes that no company data exists.
Your data files should still be there so rename the file back again. If the files are not there and,if you have a backup of the data, work through the new company wizard and then, once you are in to the new company, restore your backup.

Oops my error, spoke to val and sorter her out and corrected the error in the earlier post.
As is so often the case, tmail wasn't wanted, just emailing reports.
Here is the guide to emailing reports

First can we backup a bit.
Are you really wanting to do BASDA eBiz xml EDI transactions with trading partners?
Most people who get into tmail don't really want to be using it, many have mistakenly thought it is how you send invoices by email.
