Restore 2012 data with 2011?

I have a back up of Sage from a 2012 version, which I am trying to restore with a 2011 version of Sage. It opens the company, but with no information in it. Is it because of the different versions that I am experiencing these problems? Is there a way to do this?

It is not possible to do this as the data from v2012 is not in a format that v2011 can read...
