Computer crashing

Post by Gil Smith » 06 Sep 2011, 13:59

Does anyone know if there are any known conflicts between Sage 2011 and Outlook 2010. My workstation crashes 2 or 3 times a day when I am working in Sage and my workstation has Outlook 2010. The other work stations never crash and they have an earlier version of Outlook. The crashes normally happen when I try to print a report. It never crashes if I am in any other programme - just Sage.

I'm running v2011 with the full Office 2010 suite installed including Outlook and I have no problems printing.

Can you print any reports at all?

Yes I can print all reports to a printer or as a PDF most of the time. Just for no apparent reason the whole computer crashes. I have checked the RAM and there is no fault with the memory. I am beginning to think it may be a fault in the computer so i will probably buy a new workstation and hope for the best!

It could well be a PC fault and that Sage is the only thing that stresses the part that is failing.

Download a reputable stress test and see if you can crash it without using sage.

Prime95 is the classic cpu stress test.
Passmark is excellent, but you have to pay for it..
