Invoice Emailing

I have a number of clients who want copy invoices at month end, and have set up the Sage emailing option (until now we have printed and mailed them). Testing it to my mailbox works fine except that I would like to group the invoices for each client and send them attached to one email rather than as several individual ones.

In Properties - email options - I am only able to select 'Entire Report' or 'Group 1 INVOICE.INVOICE_NUMBER' . I understand that I need access to 'Group 5' to send grouped invoices. How can I enable this in the Report Designer layout used?

I assume you have a custom layout for invoices and have added in a group for customers so that invoices are grouped by customers rather than by invoice number.

I see no reason why you should not be able to select a group.

Perhaps you could attach the layout to a post and we could have a look at it.

P.S. You have upgraded to V1.3 of the report designer?

Thank you for your reply. I wasn't using the latest version of Report Designer but still have the same problem since upgrading.

I have continued to work on this one and attach a copy of the latest version.

In Propreties I have amended the INVOICE_INVOICE header Group Expression to SALES_LEDGER.ACCOUNT_REF. This has helped however when selecting invoices from the Customer List and emailing them, Email Options set as:-
Entire Report - send all the selected invoices to one client
Group 1 - Attaches only the first invoice in a batch per client
Group 2 - Don't appear in the mailbox

Any help will be very welcomed.

Your layout is corrupted

There are two sections listed that dont even exist.

If you select any item, all items get selected

I would redo it from scratch, even if one could fix the grouping issues, there are probably other things broken in there. For the sake of 30 mins it just is not worth trying to fix.

Many thanks for looking at this. I was provided with the layout by a Sage 'expert'. Can't trust anyone nowadays!!
