ebay and paypal

Post by jenodorf » 04 May 2011, 14:46

Hi

set up a company to handle our ebay sales. Added products etc that we sell. Whats the best way to input both ebay and paypal charges which vary of course depending on what is sold.

Do I add them as a product?

thanks

Ian

Assuming you pay your eBay fees through PayPal, I'd suggest setting up a bank account in Sage for PayPal and post all your receipts to that account. Then, when you come to pay the fees, post bank payments.

That way, the balance left on the PayPal account is the money you actually receive and can be transferred to your 'real' bank account.
