Will Sage Line 50 v10 be of any use to me?

Post by MIA » 18 Dec 2010, 14:19

I have just seen a Sage Line 50 Self Study Workbook version 10 for sale and wondered if it would be worth me buying it.

Would this version which (as I can understand from what I've read on the internet) is about 7 years old be beneficial to someone who is trying to learn sage or is it that different from today's version that it would just cause confusion?

I gratefully thank anyone who can advise me on this.

Thanks

Whilst the underlying principles are unchanged, the look, feel and functionality are so different that in my opinion, you'd be ill-advised to try to learn current versions from a guide to V10.

look and feel -No
functionality -Most

The problem with most people coming to Sage is that they do not understand accounting, because they come from admin roles and so get into trouble.

I would suggest using the free demo copy of Sage at runaware to practice things

Should you buy the book? Depends on what it costs, 99p yes, £10 no
