Deleting fixed reports

Post by johnno_7 » 04 Oct 2010, 15:16

Is it possible to delete the fixed reports that are in Sage?

Members of my team continually use the incorrect report layout causing hassle-the easiest solution would be deleting the 'fixed' reports so that only the ones that i have built could be used. However, when i try to delete them a error message is displayed saying simply 'You cannot delete a fixed Report'.

Please help!

Hi Johnno,

The only way to remove a fixed report is to remove the report file itself from the reports folder.

Depending on the version, O/S and whether 'Use data path for reports' is selected, the report can be held in different locations.

To check if UDP4R is selected, go to Settings > Company Preferences > Reports. If UDP4R is ticked then the program is looking beside ACCDATA for it's reports. If it is unticked, the program is looking to the default location.

Default reports locations (XP):
>= v14: C:\Documents and Setting\All Users\Application Data\Sage\Accounts\20XX\Company.000\Reports\...
<= v13: C:\Program Files\Sage\Accounts\Reports\... (or custom program directory)

Hope this helps.
