Hi
I have custom designed all of our company stationery, but have found that my purchase orders aren't printing the message line.

I know I had this problem a while ago with despatch notes and found a solution online, only I can't find it now (I have been searching for 2 days).

If I remember correctly, it was something really simple. I think I had to go to data>filters and delete (or add) a 0.

Does anyone know the solution?

I think the issue is that messages and S1 and S2 and S3 item are not printing, this is because there is no associated product code for them.

If this is the case then the fix is pretty simple, but different depending on if you are pre or post V13

Please can you post your version number and advise if you have the same issue the stated product codes.

That's okay, post V13 there is a new report designer so it should all apply to you.

Hi
I am using V 14

I have inserted stock.location field into our delivery note. The message line no longer prints due to problem you have previously detailed. I have tried your fix by changing data properties to false but still not fixed.
I also have stock code, text and comment_2 on this line.
Is this because the M is already linked to product code?
Do I need to create another line for the M and if so what criteria/fields do I need?

Hi Bruce

I finally got around to following your instructions (I couldn't find the green folder looking icon, so clicked on the background of my layout to get the root properties). The data source section already had "True" under "Include records with no transactions.

Everything else seems to appear on the order, i.e. comment lines, but there is no message.

I am left scratching my head now.

Hi Bruce

I have very careefully followed the instructions on the link again. I have gone back to using the original template purchase order and have found that as soon as I put the field of "Supplier Stock Code" anywhere on the order, the message line doesn't print.

What field should I be joining the "Supplier Stock Code" to? Is there something else I may be missing

There is no field called "Supplier Stock Code" you mean "STOCK.SUPPLIER_PART_NUMBER"

I think the problem is in the join between the Purchase Order Item and the Stock Table, this need to be a "Parent Outer" for the "Conditional Join"

Hi All

I have changed employment and still have this issue. M, S1 etc, do not print no matter how hard I try.

The joins appear to be correct "POP_Item > Stock_Code" to "Stock > Stock_Code" and I have changed the properties in "Data Source > Include records with no transactions" to "True".

Has anyone overcome this problem yet?

The problem is generally overcome by fixing issues the joins to parent outer.

It could be that somone has deleted the sections form the report that print message lines and comments. or or or

If you attach your layout to a post I can have a look for you and confirm what the issue is for you and how to resolve it.
