Add a comment to an invoice
Add a comment to an invoice
I'm running Sage 50 Accounts 2010.
I want to use comments on invoices, such as 'payment received with thanks' or 'payable by standing order'. Is there a place I can enter the text I want to appear?
Thanks

Re: Add a comment to an invoice
Yes add an item with the stock code "M" will add a message line where you can type what you want.

Fantastic - thanks!

Actually meant the Fantastic for the Invoice number answer! Still haven't worked out how to add the stock item.

Re: Add a comment to an invoice
When you enter and invoice.
On the last line after all the other items
Put in the product code "M" (Do not worry about it not existing) hit Tab and you enter the message you want on that invoice.

I'm probably being very dense here, but I can't get that to work. I am using the service invoice format - could that be why?

Re: Add a comment to an invoice
Yes, you could ditch service invoices.
Use product invoices to enter a service item, use the S3 code.
Or keep using service invoices and add on a 0 value item with your message in it
