Since setting up BOMs from our products, the "last cost price" is a lot higher than the price of the individual components.
I have 2 questions:
How is the "last cost price" calculated?
Can I change the cost price manually with no repercussions in other areas of Sage?
Thanks
Ton

Re: Sage 50 Last Cost Price
The cost price is the sum of the cost prices of the items.
Note that the cost prices of the items it the price they were entered into stock at and that Sage uses a FIFO system
eg
KIT is made out of 1 COM1 and 1 COM2
There are 3 COM1 in stock at £1 each
There are no COM2's
we receive 1 COM2 at £5
we receive another at £1
we receive a final on at £3
we transfer stock to KIT the first item has a cost of £6 the second £2 and the third £4
If you go back and look at the stock history of the components you should find they add up.
