REPORTS

Post by swoods » 17 Mar 2010, 13:49

Still trying to get to grips with Sage. How can i print a list of inactive customers, and the length of inactivity? I can view them in the task manager window, but cannot see a way of printing this. I am unable to find what i am looking for in the other report menu.

The Task Manager has not been in sage for a long time, what version are you running?

As a general principle, you would apply a search to narrow down the field of view to show just the group of (customers, Suppliers, Products, Orders, Invoices...) that you are interested in.

You can then run a report and it will be just for that narrowed down view.

In your specific case, you need to go to the customers and use a search to narrow down your view (use last transaction date to do this)

I don't think there is a report (out of the box) that shows "the period of inactivity" you would need to modify a standard report such as the "customer list" to have last transaction data added to it. You will need to calculate the period of inactivity with a formula taking "the last transaction date" away from "the current date" the old report designer was no where near as flexible as the current one, so it might not support that in which case you could just have last transaction date.
