Reports not picking up imported stock records

I have imported product records via a csv file into sage line 50 2007. The import was successful and all of the product records appear in the products window with the correct set up information for each record. I have started putting on purchase orders, then GRNs and also product 'out' adjustments. Any movements on each product code appear when I highlight the product code and click activity. However if I click on reports, such as product activity, stock take report by cost code, product audit trail etc, the reports only pick up movements on new codes that I have set up in sage and not the ones I imported. There is definately movement on the product codes I have imported, this shows when I click activity. I have made sure that I have nothing highlighted when I run the reports aswell. I have checked the data and no errors/warnings etc appear. Can anyone help me to fix this please, it just doesn't make sense to me.

Categories? Reports defaulting to cats 1 - 999 and you importing null?
