Hi
Have a 2000 server with 6 companys accessed via xp workstation all running line 50 2009. All the local stations run perfectly well, however One workstation has just been linked to the network by a router to router VPN (draytek)
From the outstation I can map the Sage data directory to Z no problem and it opens is 2-3 seconds allowing me tom view the files.
Word opens a document in less than 5 secs over the vpn.
However Sage takes up to 3mins before the account list appears and then and another two before the working screen appears.
Has anyone any ideas? I've excluded the dta files from the anti virus.
thanks
Ian

Re: Slow slow slow line 50 2009
What you are experiencing is what one would expect.
The recommended network bandwidth for Sage 50 is 1000MBit a VPN is going to do a very very small fraction of that Sage 50 is not designed to run over a low bandwidth network.

Terminal Services is a good solution and so are many of the other remote desktops, gotomypc, vnc, logmein and so on..
