Transaction E mail setup

Post by devonia259 » 21 Mar 2009, 10:03

Hi
I am trying to setup the 'Transaction E Mail' and I am told there is an invalid folder selected, and I should restart sage transaction and configure the default mail folder.
Fine, however the next box tells me that 'Sage transaction e Mail could not obtain access to Outlook' and do I want to work offline.
There appears no way to get past this problem.
As a matter of interest I can send individual e mails succesfully so Sage can access outlook for that purpose.
Any Ideas

Neil

Hi Bruce
I cannot get access to Outlook from transaction E mail, so even when you get to configuration it puts up a window saying no access to Outlook. I have set Outlook as the default E mail program.
Any ideas

Hi Bruce
I can get into the Tmail system and in the transmission box I try to configure where tmail collects and sends transactions. But the sytem says it cannot access Outlook and that I have chosen to work offline. How do get back online so that I can access outlook. I don't think I have asked to work offline at any stage.

Hi Bruce
Yes I can get into Tmail but when I enter a message comes up saying.
'The mail folder selected to collect messages from cannot be found Sage T mail will now close. Please restart Sage T mail and run config to select the default folder.'
Press ok and another box comes up saying
'Sage Transaction e-Mail could not obtain access to Outlook. Do you want to continue working off-line?'
Select yes and it enters the T mail system. I have tried to run config from in T-mail but it say's I have selected to work off-line so cannot access Outlook.
I have no password to enter my Outlook so there must be some other barrier to accessing Outlook.
Any ideas?

Can you get into tmail? >>SETUP<<

This is where you need to configure tmail so it knows which folders in Outlook to get the mail from.

Then when you go into tmail it should find them and not complain.

Hi Bruce
On entering the T mail setup I get the previously mentioned warnings. It will let me in but only working offline. I cannot change the settings as I have no access to outlook. There must be another setting that allows me access to outlook and untill I find it I cannot change any settings.
Once in tmail I can go to Tools, Options, this brings up the Tmail control panel. I can see on the email(basic) line that T mail profile is set to Outlook . The options are set to 'collect mail from Inbox'. If I hit the configure key it tells me I have no access to OUtlook
