Copying invoice layouts saved in demo data to company files

Post by spangly » 27 Feb 2009, 10:46

Hi
We have just started using SAGE 50 Accounts Plus 2009.
We practised designing our own service invoice within the demo data. We came up with a layout that we would like to use. The invoice has been saved in the demo data file under layouts. We've tried copying this saved file into the company data / layouts folder. Whilst the file appears in the folder, the invoice format doesn't appear when we try to print out a company invoice.
Does anyone know if (and how) we can transfer this invoice into our company data or do we have to redesign it?
I hope this makes sense
Thanks

If you go to help>about>system information>directories from in your demo data and it will tell you the location of your demo data

Go to the demodata folder by right clicking on the location in the sage window and chosing open folder.

go up one directory and then down into the layouts directory, there you will find your layouts.

copy it to the layouts folder in the same relative position on your company data path.
