Hello,

Sage version v12

Sage report designer.

I am after adding the customers email address to a despatch note.

Or another way how do I add the Sales_Ledger to the variables list so I can add more details to do with the customer.

If I start a new layout / despatch note there are only 3 variables but would like to add more.

Please help.

look in the customer (sales ledger) table and then search for the email variable and you should be able to add it to the report.

Thank you for the reply.

No matter how much I try I can not find a way of finding the sales ledger folder once I am in edit mode for the delivery note. Its probably very simple and looking right at me but I can not find it. Sorry to bother you.

All I have in my variable list are:- I go to the list by entering View then variables from the pull down menu and the following shows.

Sales_order
SOP_item
company
report
criteria
Expressions
Snippets (which is empty)

I need the sales_ledger adding to this list and then I can do what I require. Question is how?

I was not paying enough attention. You can't access the table in the old report designer, you need to upgrade to be able to add tables, V12 was the last version with the old report writer.

mmmm. On thinking about this today can we save the customer email address as a snippet and use it from there?

If so how do you save it as a snippet?
