Importing data from another application

We have developed product specification and ordering software and have a customer using Sage 200 with a custom import routine. We have another customer using line 50 that would like to import Customer Order data and Purchase Order data - which transaction types should we use to achieve that and would it be a single value per PO or per CO rather than multiple lines.
