Hi Sage users
Long question for a short answer - I hope. Can you advise how to clear stock at year end. I have followed Y/E procedure and have tried to delete product codes that are showing zero stock quantity.
Some have gone but others won't go and show the error GI /AO - goods in and allocated out. I have no stock showing so don't know how to delete code.
Basically, I just want to start with a clear stock for the new year.
Many thanks
Jackie

I suspect that your transactions are dated after the date you are clearing to.
If you just want to clear all stock histories, you can do it by deleting all the stock transactions, you will need to adjust in the opening balances.
You can do this by going though the maintenance rebuild option.
This is a pretty aggressive move, you should back up first!

old products
I am trying to clean up my product list.
Some items have a stock of 0 and simply delete. Others have had not activiity since 2005, have zero stock and won't go away !
One one or two are on BOMs. Is there a report to find out these hidden items ?

I know your problem, I expect they are on a BOM somewhere.
There is no report in the pack, I would write one or, use odbc/excel integrated reporting to create a list in excel which you could sort to find them.
