Mass convert invoices to quotes?

Post by sc_uk » 16 Jan 2008, 19:32

I'm running Sage Line 50 on Windows XP.
Earlier today, all quotes were some how turned into invoices, even though no orders were made, and they weren't posted to the ledger. At the moment we are having to open every individual file and change them back to quotes before saving them again. Is there a way to select all of the files that need turning back into quotes and doing them all in one go? It is going to take literally hours to go through the thousands of files on there chaging them manually.

We have the data backed up from yesterday, but if we did that it would mean having to input all the new data from today. That would probably take just as long as changing all the files back to quotes one by one.

I'm not in the office at the moment so can't be much more specific, I'm also very new to the programme (first day was Monday, today is the first time I've really used it.)
Help sometime before I go into work at 8am tomorrow morning would be much appriciated.
Thanks.

Never mind......took 2 of us about 8 hours but we went through every one individually.

Would still be interested to know if a mass convert can be done though, in case it happens again.

I have some tools that have enabled me to do it almost automatically in the past. The problem is knowing which ones need to be turned back. A previous day backup would be ideal to answer that.
