Invoices & Statements

Post by emma » 04 Jul 2007, 19:37

Hi,

I have recently installed Sage (V eight) on another PC and then restored the data. Once I had done this the new machine said that the copy was on trial, anyway I phoned Sage and got an activation key, so that was that sorted.

However when I did processed the month end invoices (in the invoicing area) the screen was different. So I entered them as service invoices with the narrative 100 Magazines. With a bit of tweaking in the reports area the invoices were fine. However the statments show both the number and the narrative, I want just the narrtive.

Any ideas how I correct this problem. (I hope all that makes sense.)

Thanks
Emma

It is unclear what was different about the invoicing module.

It may be that the custom layouts/reports from the old PC were not transferred.

The Backup option allows you to decide what to backup and restore. You can backup just the reports and layouts from the old PC and restore them to the new PC without any data so data is unchanged. (probably a v good idea to back up first anyway)
