Can you help?

Have you checked your data for errors, reindexed and compressed?

What version are you running?

Hi

Thanks for your reply

I am using Version 7 I checked the reports folder and found two files Errors.rpt & Warning.rpt I removed these files.

This has made no difference I am still experiencing the same problem.

When you ask me to reindexed and compressed what are you asking me to do with these files as I am not very techinical.

Thanks
John

Re-indexing and compression, might not have been options in V7, if the are they are in File>Maint

Errors.rpt & Warning.rpt are reports that sage runs to tell you about errors and warnings, you should put them back.

Can you confirm that this is a problem affecting ALL reports, ALL Layouts in ALL modules and ALL users. (Or at least that it is NOT restricted to just one user, just reports, just layouts, just customers)

My initial though is that there is another application that is interfering with Sage.

I would suggest shutting down the system and trying sage immediately after reboot before any other application has run.

I have seen some malware cause this sort of problem.

I would check that your anti virus is up-to-date and functioning fully, run a full PC check for viruses, trojans & malware. Do not use FREE software to check for viruses, spyware or malware, unless you are 100% sure they are okay, some of them are malware in thier own right.

If there is any possibility of your anti virus software having been compromised, then this would warrant an in depth investigation.

I suggest Spybot Search and Destroy as a good, free malware chacker
for antivirus panda active scan seems to work

Hi

I have compressed all data.

I have replaced the files which I removed before.

This affecting all repots, layouts modules and users (we only have the one user)

Software antivirus is up to date and performed PC check no virus.

Still no luck with this any other ideas.

Thanks
John
