Help

My Bank Accounts : Bank Current Account and Petty Cash have dissapeared from Bank Screen. If I go to Nominal screen they are still there with the figures and if I try to enter them as new accounts it says these nominal code ( 1230 for petty Cash ) is already in use.

Obviously I can't enter payments or receipts.

Also I tried to do File Maintenance Check Data and when it got to Bank Records, Sage just closed.

At the moment we are on a network and on the other user they are still there so I can log on with different user to do payments but obviously I need to get them back on my user .

Oh and when I try to click the down arrow ( as if i was sorting them ) is comes up with Microsoft error report box ..needs to close... do you want to send a report to Microsoft.. debug .. etc....

PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you have a filter / search applied.

Click on the Magnifying glass to switch on / off

and / or

Click on Search to see what searches are applied.

I am running Version 9.

I have them on all the other modules Customers, Suppliers, POP,SOP etc.... but not the Bank Module.

When I also tried to run Check Data. When it got to the checking of the Bank records it automatically closed Sage. ????

If file maintenance hits errors so severe that it crashes then not being able to see the bank accounts is a "minor" problem.

Your data is corrupt, you need to restore your last backup and re-key your data since then.

TIP: Print of the last section of the audit trail before restoring, this will tell you what needs posting.

No recent backup?
============

It might be possible that your data could be repaired or exported and re imported or "glued" on to the last good backup.

The cost of this and how successful it would be are dependant on the problems in the data. I could look at your data and give you an estimate without obligation.

Problem fixed !.

Man from Sage Forum helped me. I Had to put in 1980 date when clearing audit trail and then compress the data. then had to check data again.
